Boston GP-163 (Kawai) Grand Piano
Serial 108366 c. 1993

Established in 1991, the Boston Piano Company ushered in a new era for Steinway and Sons. The Boston, designed by Steinway but built by Kawai gave American consumers the best of both worlds: Classic American tone and touch with Japanese precision craftsmanship.

Boston's GP-163 is their best selling grand piano. This c. 1993 GP-163 baby grand comes from what is arguably Boston's best era (the early years). I have tuned, prepped and polished it for sale.

This piano features a Steinway action and hammers, solid spruce soundboard with enlarged tail, and a true sostenuto pedal system. These expensive features make for a sound and touch that is a real treat to play. Its touch is medium and its tone is clear and rich throughout all registers.

This piano has been meticulously maintained and is in like-new condition. It comes from a non-smoking/kid-free home and features a beautiful hand rubbed satin ebony finish.

This mint condition piano is worthy of a talented artist but it also makes a beautiful showpiece. It even includes its original matching duet bench.

This piano lists new today for $24,600 and goes up about 5% a year. Our price included free standard local delivery, a single on-site concert tuning and custom voicing, and a five-year local MusicMasters Piano Service parts and labor warranty.
