WHO IS HALLET, DAVIS & CO.? Hallet, Davis & Co. Piano company started building pianos in 1835. It's Boston factory produced world class pianos from 1843 until 1925, when it became part of Aeolian-American. Aeolian-American then produced budget-conscious Hallet Davis pianos until they closed their factory in the 1980's. Reborn in the mid-1990's, the new Hallet, Davis & Co. Piano Company is now one of the fastest growing manufactures, currently producing about 10,000 pianos annually from 3 different piano factories located in China. China is now the largest producer of pianos in the world.
